There are four licensed taxi companies in San Mateo:

Parking
Parking for train riders is available at the Transit Center by the southbound platform (Purple area), and at a lot by 2nd Street and South Railroad Ave.
Transit Center lot (purple area)
The lot at the Transit Center is owned and managed by the City of San Mateo. Parking costs 25 cents per hour and $2.50 for 10 hours. After 6pm, parking is free for everyone. This lot honors Caltrain monthly parking permit.
South Railroad Ave and 2nd Street (red area)
Parking requires a $2 daily fee or a Caltrain monthly parking permit. Pay the daily parking fee at a Caltrain parking permit machine and place the day permit on top of the dashboard.
