AC Transit accepts cash and Clipper cards, as well as offers various passes.

Local and rapid routes

Transbay routes

Paper Transbay tickets and passes will not be accepted on buses by the end of August.

Transfers

Transfers are good for one use within 90 minutes.

Transfers between local buses costs 25 cents for all riders.

Transfers are free for transbay bus riders to another local bus. To transfer from a local bus to a transbay bus, pay the transbay fare on the first bus and receive a transfer good for the transbay bus.
