AC Transit accepts cash and Clipper cards. 31-day passes are available on Clipper cards only. Youth riders need to register in advance to receive a youth Clipper card, which can load youth passes.

Transfers

Transfers are good for one use within 90 minutes.

Transfers between local buses costs 25 cents for all riders.

Transfers are free for transbay bus riders to another local bus. To transfer from a local bus to a transbay bus, pay the transbay fare on the first bus and receive a transfer good for the transbay bus.

BART to bus transfers costs $1.85 for adults and $0.80 for youth, seniors, and disabled. Discounts automatically applied for riders using Clipper.
