MST fares

Fares on MST is charged according to the number of fare zones traveled. Pay the appropriate fare at the farebox (or show a valid pass to the driver) when boarding.

Cash fares

Transfers cost $0.25 for adults and $0.10 for youth, seniors, and the disabled.

Youth (5-18), seniors (65 or over), disabled, and Medicare cardholders are eligible for the Discount fares.

Fare zones

The MST system is divided into six fare zones as shown below. Grey diamond zones are considered to be within the square zones that they overlap. For example, passengers in Castroville pay a single zone fare to Watsonville, Salinas, or Monterey.
