Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is a regional oversight, planning, and funding agency for transit providers in the Chicago metropolitan area, which include the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra Commuter Rail, and Pace Suburban Bus. The agency covers six counties in northeast Illinois.

The agency also issues Reduced Fare and Ride Free permits for senior and disabled riders and manages the eligibility for the region's ADA paratransit services.
