Sacramento Valley Station is a major transit hub in the Sacramento area, with train connections throughout California.

This station is served by Capitol Corridor, San Joaquins, Coast Starlight, California Zephyr trains, and Amtrak Thruway buses.

Amtrak tickets are sold at the ticket counter in the main building, or via QuikTrak machines. Checked baggage service is available for Coast Starlight and Thruway bus passengers at the ticket counter. Trains may depart on track 2, 3, or 4. Listen to announcement or ask a station agent where to board. All Thruway buses stop at the bus plaza north of the building.

Light Rail platform is located north of the building between Amtrak platforms and the station building.

Ticket machines are located on each platform. Buy ticket before boarding. This station features a single platform. Board trains toward Historic Folsom there.
