📣 Due to COVID-19 national emergency, many transit agencies have reduced or suspended service in response to drop in ridership and various local public health orders. Some agencies waive fares and allow rear door boarding to accommodate social distancing. Route information on this site may not reflect all COVID-19 related service changes. Check Twitter feeds for transit agencies for current service updates prior to travel. 😷 Face covering or mask is advised (and may be required at some agencies) onboard transit vehicles.

Add fare machines are located inside the paid area of every BART station.

Add fare machines allow riders to add money onto the fare card if the fare card does not have enough funds to cover the fare. At many stations, add fare machines also allow riders to pay and validate parking. Riders can pay for parking with cash or with their fare card (blue only). Riders with senior or disabled fare card must pay with cash.
