Argyle Station, served by the Red Line, originally opened in 1908 as a ground-level station. The elevated station was constructed in the 1910s and opened in 1920. A Chinese-style pagoda was added in 1991, and the station received minor upgrades in 2012. Starting in 2021, the station was completely reconstructed to modern standards and reopened for service in July 2025. While the pagoda was not restored in the reconstruction, other Asian-themed elements are included.
