Berwyn Station (CTA)
Berwyn Station, served by the
Red Line, originally opened between 1916 and 1920 under the name Edgewater Beach as part of a track elevation project. The name was changed to Berwyn in 1960, and the station received minor upgrades in 2012. Starting in 2021, the station was completely reconstructed to modern standards and reopened for service in July 2025.
CTA 'L'
The station entrance is located on the south side of Berwyn Avenue. CTA ticket machines are available at the station entrance, which sell reloadable Ventra card, single-ride, or 1 day ticket. All riders must pass through the turnstile with a valid Ventra card, ticket, contactless bank card, or mobile device with Apple/Samsung/Android Pay. The station features an elevator connecting the entrance's paid area to the platform. There's also an exit-only staircase on the north side of Berwyn.
