Fullerton Station (CTA)
Points of interest
CTA 'L'
This station is the last transfer point between
Red,
Brown, and
Purple lines. Here, the Red Line splits from the North Side mainline and heads underground into the State Street Subway, while the Brown and Purple lines remain overhead, heading to the Loop.
CTA ticket machines are available at the street level station concourse on either side of Fullerton Ave, which sell reloadable Ventra card, single-ride, or 1 day ticket. All riders must pass through the turnstile with a valid Ventra card, ticket, contactless bank card, or mobile device with Apple/Samsung/Android Pay.
This elevated station features two center platforms, with elevators connecting the headhouse to the platforms. The two inner tracks are used by Red Line trains and the outer tracks are used by Brown and Purple line trains. This allows cross platform transfer between trains in the same direction.
