About the route
Route 233 offers north-south local bus service in the San Fernando Valley along Van Nuys Boulevard (between Foothill Blvd and Ventura Blvd), from Pacoima to Sherman Oaks. Metro Rapid 761 provides limited-stop service along Van Nuys Blvd. During the daytime, every other trip extends beyond Foothill Blvd north into Lake View Terrace. Overnight, service extends south over the Sepulveda Pass via Sepulveda Boulevard to Sepulveda/Expo Station, when line 761 is not in service.
