BSicon LOGO Amtrak2.svg Pacific Surfliner is an Amtrak California (state sponsored regional Amtrak) train service between San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Trains operate daily with departures every 1-3 hours between LA and San Diego.

The Surfliner runs on the same track as Coast Starlight between San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles. It also shares tracks with Metrolink VC Ventura County Line between Ventura and Los Angeles, OC Orange County Line between LA and Oceanside, and NCTD COASTER Icon (2019).svg Coaster between Oceanside and San Diego. The Surfliner makes more stops than the Coast Starlight and fewer stops than Metrolink and Coaster, as well as providing trips convenient for intercity travel compared to local commuter service.

Segment between Irvine and Oceanside may be temporarily disrupted (weeks and up to months) due to landslides that may occur during winter storm season.
