About the route
Route 6 offers local north-south service between Jantzen Beach and Downtown Portland, primarily via MLK Blvd. In East Portland, the bus uses the Hawthorne Bridge to travel to and from downtown. In the northern part of the route, between NE Gertz Rd and the Delta Park/Vanport MAX Station, route 6 trips alternate between NE Vancouver Way and NE Schmeer Road.
