This Loop Elevated station was opened in 1995, replacing original stations at Randolph and Madison.

CTA 'L'

The entrances to the station from the street is located just south of the intersection of Washington and Wells. CTA ticket machines are available at the station concourse over the street and below the platforms, which sell reloadable Ventra card, single-ride, or 1 day ticket. All riders must pass through the turnstile with a valid Ventra card, ticket, contactless bank card, or mobile device with Apple/Samsung/Android Pay.

This elevated station features side platforms. Separate elevators connect the street to the concourse and the paid area of the concourse to the platforms. The platforms also have exit only stairs to the south side of Madison Street.

At this station, Pink, Orange, and Purple lines provide clockwise service in the Loop, using only the inner track (northbound platform). The Brown Line offers counter-clockwise service, stopping only on the outer track (southbound platform).
