Service on this route is generally provided by high speed ferry vessels. Whenever a high speed vessel is out of service for maintenance, a regular vessel (Spaulding) will be substituting under a special schedule.

Marin Transit 29 provides connection from San Rafael Transit Center. Golden Gate Transit also provides limited early morning bus trip from Larkspur to San Francisco before ferry service begins.
