Metro Rail E Line (also known as Expo Line) is the newest light rail line in Los Angeles region. It follows a Pacific Electric corridor from Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica which discontinued passenger service back in the 1950s.

E line trains run run every 6 minutes daily during the day and every 20 minutes at night until about 12:30am. Service is extended to about 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. This line uses Proof of payment fare system.

At 7th Street/Metro Center in downtown, it connects with Metro B Line and D Line. At Pico Station, it connects with Metro A Line line.
