Metra Electric is a Metra line from the southeast Chicago area to Downtown Chicago. It is the only electrified line on the Metra system.

Timetables

This line has two branches in addition to the mainline. One of the branches serve South Chicago and the other to Blue Island. Service runs all day on weekdays and weekends (no Sunday service on the Blue Island branch). Skip-stop service pattern is operated during the peak hours.

The northern part of the line is also shared with the South Shore Line trains from Indiana.

This line offers level boarding at all stations for all cars, but many stations do not have ramps or elevators to the platform so they remain inaccessible.

Train number with even numbers indicate inbound trains to Chicago, and odd numbers indicate outbound trains.
