Redwood City is a timed transfer point between limited stop trains for some passengers. The timed transfers are shown in green colors on the train schedules. Transferring passengers should stay on the same platform and wait for the next train.
Caltrain ticket machines and 8-ride ticket validators are located on the platforms. This station features side platforms. Walk across the tracks at either end of the station to get from one platform to another.
- Northbound trains: to San Francisco
- Southbound trains: to San Jose/Gilroy
Bus - SamTrans
All buses stop at the bus plaza except lines 390 and KX, which only stop on El Camino.

Station parking is available by the southbound platform at three locations.
Parking requires a $3 daily fee or a Caltrain monthly parking permit. To pay the daily parking fee, remember the stall number and pay at the Caltrain ticket machines located on the station platforms.
