San Mateo – Hayward Bridge
San Mateo - Hayward Bridge links the San Mateo and Foster City in the mid-Peninsula with Hayward in the East Bay.
Currently, the San Mateo - Hayward Bridge is closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic. However, transit links are available for pedestrians and bicyclists to travel across the Bay.

- AC Transit M line provides bus connections between Hayward and San Mateo County. All AC Transit buses can carry bicycles.
Transit Alternatives
- BART provides all-day train service between the East Bay and Millbrae. SamTrans and Caltrain serve San Mateo and connect with BART at Millbrae Station.
