About the route

Opened in 1995, Metro Rail C Line (formerly Green Line) operates mostly on the median of Interstate-105 between Norwalk and LAX area. It is a suburb-to-suburb light rail line.

C Line trains run every 10 minutes during weekday daytime, and every 20 minutes from about 8pm to around midnight. Weekend daytime service runs about every 10 minutes. This line uses Proof of payment fare system with validated TAP cards. All C Line stations have faregates that require a TAP card to open.

C Line used to continue to El Segundo and Redondo Beach. Service is now provided by K Line with a transfer at Aviation/Century Station. Also at LAX/Metro Transit Center, connection to LAX is available via a free shuttle. At Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station, the C Line connects with Metro A Line to Long Beach, Downtown LA, and Azusa. At Harbor Freeway Station, it connects with Metro's J Line and other buses on the busway.
