Pier 45 is home of the museum ship SS Jeremiah O Brien.


Cable cars

The terminal for the Mason line is on on Taylor Street and Bay Street. The terminal for the Hyde line is on Hyde Street and Beach Street. Each terminal features a turntable to manually turn the cable cars.

Muni historic streetcars from Downtown San Francisco and the Ferry Building:

Market & Wharves: (Historic Streetcar) 17th St and Castro - Fisherman's Wharf via Ferry Building

The nearest stop(s) at: walking distance Beach & Mason (Outbound), walking distance Jefferson & Powell (Inbound), walking distance Jefferson & Taylor (Inbound), walking distance Jones & Beach.

Ferry

There are two ferry terminals in the area. Pier 33 is the terminal for ferry to Alcatraz. Pier 41 is the Blue & Gold Fleet terminal for ferries to Tiburon, Sausalito, Angel Island, Vallejo, and Oakland/Alameda.

BART, Muni Metro, Caltrain

From BART and Muni Metro, transfer to or F Market & Wharves streetcar from downtown stations to the Fisherman's Wharf area. Cable cars to the Fisherman's Wharf also depart from BART and Muni Powell Station.

From Caltrain 4th & King Station, transfer to to the Fisherman's Wharf area.

Bus

Muni provides local transit service.
