Paying the fare

Ticket machines are available on the King Street sidewalk (Caltrain plaza) and on the entryway to the N Judah platform on King St. You can buy your ticket there (change is given) and keep it as proof of payment.

You can also pay fare onboard the T Third Street car when boarding. Keep the transfer as proof of payment.

Muni passes are sold at the Caltrain ticket office.


Boarding the train

Departing on the King St platform:

  • N Judah Downtown SF and Ocean Beach

Departing on the 4th St platform:

  • T Third Street Inbound to Bayview District and Sunnydale, Outbound to Downtown SF and Balboa Park

To downtown, you can take either the N or the T. Just outside the Caltrain station building by King Street, an overhead electronic sign shows the real-time departure information for these trains.
