The San Joaquin is a regional Amtrak train service between Bay Area, Sacramento and Bakersfield through the Central Valley. Trains run about every 2-3 hours daily. Thruway buses provide additional connections to the Yosemite Valley, San Jose, and Los Angeles.

Only coach seats are available. Reservation (seats are not to be overbooked) is required for this train. Each car on the train can carry 3 bicycles. Cafe car and free wifi service are available.
