Balboa Park Station is a major Muni/BART transfer point outside downtown. Station entrances are located on north and south sides of Geneva Avenue by 280.
Points of interest
BART
Ticket machines for BART and fare gates are located inside the station concourse. Adult Muni Fast Pass is accepted for rides anywhere between this station and Embarcadero Station.
This station features center platforms.
Platform 1: to Daly City, to Millbrae, to SFO (and Millbrae on nights and weekends). |
Balboa Park is the designated transfer point between the line serving San Francisco Airport/Millbrae and other East Bay lines. Passengers riding in either direction should wait on the same platform for next trains.
Bicycle restrictions
Weekdays approximately 7:10 to 9:00 am, bikes are allowed in this station only for trips toward Daly City, SFO, and Millbrae. On weekdays approximately 4:30 to 6:10 pm, bicycles are allowed in this station only for trips to Civic Center Station.
