BART now allows Clipper cards for parking like EZ Rider. Payment for parking comes from your credit card registered with BART and not from the Clipper Card. The Clipper Card is used for fare payment and parking validation only.

EZ Rider is considered to be an interim solution before the rollout of [[Clipper]] on BART. BART currently accepts payment from Clipper. Clipper cards have the benefit to be used on multiple transit systems, and that values can be loaded manually online or at retail locations. However, to get the high value ticket discount for BART, the card holder must set up "Autoload" online (which is comparable to EZ Rider). In addition, Translink cards cannot be used to pay for parking.

If the rider regularly transfers to Muni, Caltrain, or AC Transit, then the rider should use Translink for paying BART fares, and possibly sign up for EZ Rider card just for parking payment.

EZ Rider was a reusable smart card exclusively for the BART system. BART is phasing out this card in favor of the regional Clipper card. For now it is used for parking payment only.

BART now allows Clipper cards for parking like EZ Rider. First, you need to create an EZ Rider account with BART [1] and link the parking account (credit card is required) with your Clipper card (by entering your Clipper card serial number). BART will then send you a parking hang tag. You can park at a BART station showing the hang tag and tap your Clipper card at the parking validation reader. You don't need to pay cash nor have to remember your parking stall number.

Payment for parking comes from your credit card registered with BART and not from the Clipper Card. The Clipper Card is used for fare payment and parking validation only.
