About the route
Route 550 offers all-day express service between downtowns of Bellevue and Seattle via I-90 and Mercer Island. It connects with Link 1 Line in Seattle and 2 Line in Bellevue. It operates as frequently as every 10 minutes during weekday peak hours and every 15 minutes on weekends.
The route operated in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel when it was opened to bus traffic. The bus route is set to be discontinued when Link 2 Line expands across Lake Washington to Downtown Seattle, which will again provide service in the tunnel but by rail.
