Cable cars
The area is served by Powell-Hyde Line and Powell-Mason Line cable car from the Union Square area.
The terminal for the Mason line is on on Taylor Street and Bay Street. The terminal for the Hyde line is on Hyde Street and Beach Street. Each terminal features a turntable to manually turn the cable cars.
Historic streetcars
F-Market & Wharves streetcar from Downtown San Francisco and the Ferry Building serves the heart of the Fisherman's Wharf area. The streetcar however can especially be crowded on weekends.
Ferry
There are two ferry terminals in the area. Pier 33 is the terminal for ferry to Alcatraz. Pier 41 is the Blue & Gold Fleet terminal for ferries to Tiburon, Sausalito, Angel Island, Vallejo, and Oakland/Alameda.
BART, Muni Metro, Caltrain
From BART and Muni Metro, transfer to Muni bus or F-Market & Wharves streetcar from downtown stations to the Fisherman's Wharf area. Cable cars to the Fisherman's Wharf also depart from BART and Muni Powell Station.
From Caltrain 4th & King Station, transfer to Muni 30-Stockton bus to the Fisherman's Wharf area.
