Azusa - Downtown LA - Long Beach
7 days a week. Holiday service varies.

Metro Rail A Line (formerly Blue Line) is the first modern urban light rail line in Los Angeles region after the closure of Pacific Electric back in the 1950s. It follows most of the original PE corridor between Downtown LA and Long Beach. In 2023, after completion of the Regional Connector project, the A line continues to Azusa replacing the Metro Gold Line, forming a nearly 50 mile direct service from the foothill of San Gabriel Mountains to the Pacific Ocean.

Blue line trains run every 8 minutes during weekday peak hours, every 10 minutes midday, and every 20 minutes from about 8pm to around midnight. This line uses Proof of payment fare system with validated TAP cards. Many stations have faregates that require a TAP card to open.

At 7th Street/Metro Center in downtown, it connects with Metro B Line and D Line. At Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station, it connects with Metro C Line line. The A line shares stations with the E Line in Downtown Los Angeles. The A line connects with Metrolink and Amtrak at Los Angeles Union Station.
