This station is served by Union Pacific North, Union Pacific Northwest, and Union Pacific West lines.
The station can be accessed from the 500 West Madison (formerly named Northwestern Atrium Center and Citigroup Center) tower as well as the street-level course (MetraMarket) located between Washington and Randolph streets. The 500 West Madison entrance is wheelchair accessible and has shops along with a food court. The MetraMarket entrance only has stairs leading to the platforms and is closed on Sundays.
Both entrances have ticket counters. Tickets can be purchased at the station, online, or through the Ventra mobile app.
The platforms are one level above the streets. There are 16 tracks at the station. Signs at the platform entrance show the train number, departure time, and list of stops.
