48 Quintara/24th Street is an east-west crosstown route connecting Dogpatch/Potrero Hill and the Outer Sunset via 24th Street, Portola Drive, and Quintara Street, serving the Mission District, Noe Valley, and West Portal. Overnight service runs only between Dogpatch and Noe Valley at 24th Street & Castro.
At the eastern end of the route, buses start and end their trips at 22nd Street Caltrain. Eastbound buses continue past the Caltrain station, stopping near 3rd Street before returning to 22nd Street Caltrain.
