Muni Metro

On separate platforms, Muni's N Judah and T Third Street lines both serve Market Street and Downtown San Francisco. T Third Street line also go south to the Bay View and Visitacion Valley.

Paying the fare

Ticket machines are available on the King Street sidewalk (Caltrain plaza) and on the entryway to the N Judah platform on King St. You can buy your ticket there (change is given) and keep it as proof of payment.

You can also pay fare onboard the T Third Street car when boarding. Keep the transfer as proof of payment.

Muni passes are sold at the Caltrain ticket office.

Boarding the train

On the King St platform (N):

N Judah - to Downtown SF and Ocean Beach depart .

On the 4th St platform (T):

T Third Street - Outbound: Downtown SF and Balboa Park

T Third Street - Inbound: Bayview District and Sunnydale

To downtown, you can take either the N or the T. Just outside the Caltrain station building by King Street, an overhead electronic sign shows the real-time departure information for both lines so you can decide which platform to go for the next train.

Special service

Before and after AT&T Park events, Muni runs S Shuttle trains to this station at the N Judah platform.

Bus Connections

Muni provides local bus service throughout San Francisco. For other Muni routes running on Market Street, take Muni Metro or any bus route heading toward Downtown, Union Square or Civic Center.

In addition to Muni, a Jitney bus also connect this station with Market Street.
