You want to visit LA car free, but you're finding it a bit overwhelming. Such a big city, so many places to go.  You don't want to drive but the transit is confusing. There are Rapids and locals and DASHs and dishes. What's a poor visitor to do.

There is a simple way. There is an entire vacation, days and days' worth, on one transit line.

That line is the 720 bus, the Wilshire Rapid.

The Wilshire Rapid goes from East Los Angeles through Downtown LA, Macarthur Park, Koreatown, the Fairfax district, Beverly Hills, Westwood, and Santa Monica. The Wilshire Rapid line takes you to:

The beach in Santa Monica, also home to a fab amuseument pier and a pedestrian- only-pedestrian only!--shopping street;

Shopping on world famous Rodeo Drive and around the Beverly Hills Business Triangle;

One bus line. 33 stops in each direction.  Stops only at main streets, so you get there fast. Special big, red, easy to recognize Rapid buses. Service from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m, 7 days a week. Service as often as every 3 minutes during rush hour.  It's almost a subway on rubber tires. Depending on when you go, it's about a half hour or so from Downtown LA to Beverly Hills, another 40-45 minutes from Beverly Hills to Santa Monica. You're going to love this trip.
