Muni accepts cash fares and offers various passes. Cable cars have seperate fares.

Cash fares

Muni buses, Muni Metro and historic streetcars

Passport

Primarily designed for tourists. Good on all Muni vehicles.

Other passes or tickets

These passes are either not valid or require an upgrade to ride cable cars. Weekly pass has been discontinued.

Inter-agency fare arrangements

Adult Muni Fast Pass is valid for unlimited travel on BART between any stations within San Francisco (Embarcadero and Balboa Park).

BART Plus tickets are valid on all Muni routes including cable cars.

BART to Muni transfers provide discounted fares on Muni (Transfers issued in Daly City provide free connection). Pick up the transfer when exiting BART.
