Train - Amtrak Capitol Corridor
Amtrak Capitol Corridor trains from the East Bay to Sacramento Valley Station. Riders can access to/from SF via thruway bus or BART at Richmond Station.
- 15 round trips on weekdays and 11 round trips weekends, trains about every hour or two.
- Train station in Sacramento is within walking from downtown.
- Cafe car
- Bike rack
- Fare is about $30 each way. Discounts are available. No advance ticket purchase needed.
- Travel time around 2 hour to/from East Bay.
- Coast Starlight and California Zephyr trains also operate between East Bay and Sacramento, but only one train per day, and ticket must be purchased ahead for these trains.
Bus - Greyhound
Greyhound bus from SF Transbay Terminal to Sacramento Greyhound.
- About 9 trips in each direction daily.
