About the route
Route 22 offers frequent local service between Palo Alto Caltrain, near the San Mateo County border, and Eastridge Mall via El Camino Real and Downtown San Jose. It has the highest bus ridership on the VTA, with end-to-end travel taking about 2 hours.
VTA Rapid Route 522 provides limited stop service largely along the same route. VTA Route 23 provides additional service along Santa Clara Street between Downtown San Jose and King.
