City: San Francisco
Salesforce Transit Center is a multi-level station in Downtown San Francisco, replacing the old Transbay Terminal. It currently serves local and regional buses on the street level and the 3rd floor bus deck. The roof of the transit center features a park with stage and playground. Adjacent to the transit center is the Salesforce Tower, which is the tallest building in the western United States.
The center can be accessed from Beale, Fremont, and 1st streets between Mission and Howard. The Grand Hall is located next to the Salesforce Tower. The center is located about 1 block away from Market Street and the BART/Muni Metro Embarcadero Station, and 3 blocks away from the Ferry Building.
When the 2nd phase is complete, it would also serve as a new underground terminal for Caltrain and California High Speed Rail.
Bus - Bus deck level
The 3rd floor bus deck features transbay bus service to Treasure Island (Muni) and the East Bay (AC Transit and WestCAT). The bus deck has over 30 bus bays. See this chart for boarding location for individual routes. Access the bus deck from the street level through the Grand Hall or the Muni bus plaza between Fremont and Beale.
Buses on the bus deck can directly access the Bay Bridge without going onto the streets.
The bus deck opens daily except during the overnight hours. Overnight buses stop on street level.
Bus - Street level
Local Muni buses, other non-transbay regional buses, and overnight buses stop on the street level. Muni buses terminating at Salesforce Transit Center depart from the bus plaza between Fremont and Beale streets.
See this chart for boarding locations.
Bicycle
BikeLink lockers and bike racks are available at Salesforce Transit Center.
Bay Wheels operates a self-service bike share station near the station.
