Embarcadero is one of two BART stations in the city's Financial District. It is within a few blocks from Transbay Terminal and the Ferry Building for additional bus and ferry connections.

InTransit kiosk, located in the underground station concourse, provides free trip planning services and sells tickets/passes for various transit operators.

Ticket machines for BART are located in the underground station concourse. Some ticket types are sold at the Transit Store, also on the concourse level. Muni Fast Pass is accepted for rides anywhere between this station and Balboa Park Station.

This station features center platforms.

Platform 1: to Daly City, to Millbrae, to SFO

Platform 2: to East Bay.

To transfer to Muni Metro, exit the BART faregates on the concourse and then enter Muni faregates. Embarcadero is a designated transfer point to Muni Metro toward AT&T Park and beyond. During Giants homegames, Muni sells tickets at tables inside BART paid area.

Bicycle restrictions

Weekdays approximately 7:05 to 8:50 am, bikes are allowed in this station only for trips to the East Bay. On weekdays approximately 4:25 to 6:30 pm, bicycles are not allowed to board at this station and bicyclists from the East Bay must exit at this station.

Muni Metro opens until about 1:00am.

Pay cash fare at the Muni faregates on the concourse level. Faregates only take coins. Bill to coin changers are available by the attendent booth. Take the transfer from the faregate and keep it as proof of payment.

If you have a valid pass or transfer, enter at the faregate next to the attendent and show your pass or transfer, or enter through the swing gate when there's no attendent.

This station features center platforms.

Downtown platform: N to 4th & King, T to Sunnydale
