Union Square is a hotel and shopping district in San Francisco that spans several blocks from the Union Square Park. Union Square has numerous high-end retailers and provides a big-city downtown shopping experience. Parking in the area is not free, but is served by a number of transit routes.

The nearest cable car stop is at Market and Powell, above BART and Muni Metro Powell Station. It is served by Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason lines.

The nearest Caltrain (Peninsula/San Jose) stop from Union Square is 4th & King Station. Muni bus 30 and 45 provide connection via 3rd/5th streets.
